Albuquerque is the most populous city in the state of New Mexico. With its population growing bigger each year, Albuquerque is also the fastest growing city in the state. Situated in the central part of the state, New Mexico straddles the Rio Grande, which flows through the city from north to south. The Sandia Mountains run along the eastern side of the city.
